Downward trend in mean global temperature

The following graph directly from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) shows the declining trend in the average global temperature since the turn of this century.  The response from AGW activists is to dismiss the data rather than admit that if the crisis they peddle were true, this would not be happening.

  1. LOL, apparently it costs money to just leave a website up. That will teach me to save the pic instead of just pasting it. Hopefully it’s back up soon.

  2. Firstly, it probably would be cheaper to leave the website up but the policy is that regardless of how much it costs, they need to be taken down.

I’m Australian so I probably shouldn’t comment too much on something I don’t know much about!

Secondly, the Way Back Machine is to the rescue!

  3. Josh to the rescue! Thanks Josh, I never learned to search web cashes and archives.

  4. someone had mentioned to me the graph shows a persistent upward trend. In fact the bars represent a deviation from the 1901-2000 average. But it in fact shows a downward trend for about 30 years, then upward for 35, then relatively steady for 30 or so, then up for about 25, now downward or at least flatening again. But again, that’s in relation to the 100 year average. You’re always going to have fluctuations from the average.

Any Thoughts?
