Climate change alarmists slowly being exposed as the Harold Campings of science

To my recollection, none of the doomsday claims of climate activists have come to pass.  Whether it comes from former vice president and multi-multi-multi millionaire (fortune made from climate activism) Al Gore, or top-in-their-field climate scientists who make predictions of dire circumstances due to climate change, none of them seem to guess correctly, or even close.

Just recently the French foreign minister asserted that we have only 500 days to avoid “climate chaos”.  Well, we’ll see about that.

Now the pentagon is scrambling to figure out a game plan to adapt to the internal financial adjustments they made based on completely failed predictions in a report from a decade ago.

(Washington Times) — Ten years ago, the Pentagon paid for a climate study that put forth many scary scenarios.

Consultants told the military that, by now, California would be flooded by inland seas, The Hague would be unlivable, polar ice would be mostly gone in summer, and global temperatures would rise at an accelerated rate as high as 0.5 degrees a year.

None of that has happened.

Yet the 2003 report, “An Abrupt Climate Change Scenario and Its Implications for United States National Security,” is credited with kick-starting the movement that, to this day and perhaps with more vigor than ever, links climate change to national security.

The report also became gospel to climate change doomsayers, who predicted pervasive and more intense hurricanes, tornadoes, floods and droughts.

[…]

There is no exact budget line for climate change. The Government Accountability Office in 2011 documented a big increase in federal spending, from $4.6 billion in 2003 to nearly $9 billion in 2010.

It was predicted that the polar ice caps would be iceless by now during the summers, yet we have record amounts of ice.  It was predicted that global temperatures would be well on the rise, yet there’s been no overall warming trend in nearly two decades.  It was predicted that extreme weather events would sharply increase, yet we have record low instances of extreme weather events despite record high levels of CO2, the “poison” declared to be the controlling greenhouse gas responsible for all the climate chaos.

How many failed predictions do we need before we can treat climate-hypocrite Al Gore and his ilk as the sandwich board wearing ‘the end is coming’ crazies they are?

I read an interesting article on the Bilderberg bunch, and while most of it can be classified under “Hysterical Blathering” a few points made sense. One of the points was that the Climate Change Hysteria was being manufactured to be able to manipulate the manufacturing base of the world. To me it makes sense because China and India can pump out millions of tons of CO2 and no one says a word, if you go to Colorado and set fire to a piece of paper that isn’t wrapping a handful of marijuana you end up with every environmental activist marching on your house with signs and banners and hashtags. So while a properly operating coal mine in the USA that is following all EPA regulations is labeled an environmental disaster, a factory in India pumping hundreds of tons of arsenic into the air is ignored, not a hashtag in sight. These people are being manipulated into doing the billionaires bidding while hazily thinking they’re “improving the world”. Lenin had a name for these folks.

Any Thoughts?
