Favorite conspiracy theory?

I am not prone to buying into Conspiracy Theories, but I do find them entertaining.  For the most part, it is the intricacy of the theory which practically renders the idea impossible, but that is the intrigue.  We all have that friend who feels it their duty to help you see the truth.  This phenomenon of belief in the CTs, if you notice the people who believe them, they tend to believe in multiple CTs.  They just can’t help it, no event is ever as reported, it’s all just a big cover-up!  I have a friend who believes them all…them all.  Including Paul McCartney is dead and was replaced by an imposter.  No one in the government ever dies of natural causes in his world, they are all victims of the cover up.  When someone who he believes is not in on the CT dies, “wow, I didn’t know they were a part of it!”

I can’t bring myself to give any of them credence, they are far too complex as to be plausible.  For example, the September 11 conspiracy.  The amount of people who would have needed to be in on it, both in the government and the private sector, for the amount of time it would have taken to coordinate, and that no one who was approached to participate ever has come forward.  So many conspiracies require upwards of hundreds or thousands of people to plan and execute, but no one ever talks.  Ever.

Myself, I think the ‘birther’ conspiracy would be the one I would be least surprised to find out is true.  Now I’m not a ‘birther’, I’m confident Obama was born in Hawaii.  However, in the back of my mind something tells me his parents may have officially given up his American citizenship and became an Indonesian citizen when they moved to Indonesia, and when he returned never regained his American status.  that’s as close to ‘birther’ or Conspiracy Theorist as I get.

So I ask you, what is your favorite Conspiracy Theory?  Which CT would not surprise you to someday find to be true?

Hadn’t heard that one, John. A new level of delusion, I think. LOL.

    My favorite?

That Elvis, Tupac, Biggie Smalls, and Michael Jackson are alive and living on an Island. Seriously, I know someone who believes that…literally.

Any Thoughts?
