Raise taxes! (we don't pay them anyway)

I’m surprised a study of this kind, though informal, has taken this long.  Then again, not really, most media outlets are not chomping at the bit to besmirch the names of a certain political party.  The Daily Beast, has devised a system to rank the number and severity of tax-cheating politicians.  How did America’s political parties fare?

Turns out Republicans have the bigger names—Jack Abramoff, Randy “Duke” Cunningham—but Democrats have the most tax scandals by a margin of 18 to 7.[…]Republicans and Tea Partiers tend to shout the loudest when it comes to tax reform, and they’re also the most law abiding—when it comes to paying their taxes, anyway.

Well knock me over with a feather!  Apparently we now know the reason Democrats are so pro-tax increases.  This is not to say all Democrats are inclined to cheat on their taxes.  But Liberals do everything in their power to create the illusion that Republicans and Conservatives exploit loopholes in order to avoid taxes.

But this accusation misses the mark.  “Loopholes” are legal tax deductions.  There is nothing immoral about utilizing the current tax system to your own advantage.  Democrats must not have gotten the memo that there are legal ways to avoid paying the tax hikes they so thoroughly enjoy foisting on the rest of the nation, as they are the largest participants of illegal tax deductions.

I wonder if the way Democrats and Republicans view charitable giving plays a role?

HA! Interesting. I guess ol’ Charlie Rangle rubbed off on more than a few Democrats. And who was that fool shoving wads of cash in his freezer? I can’t think of his name. But he was a Democrat.
