Then Senator John Kerry was preaching the apocalyptic dangers of ‘climate change’ a mere 4 years ago. He claimed there would be no Arctic ice at the pole this past summer. He was wrong. Like so many climate activists he assured us that the climate was changing at dangerous rates and needs immediate action. Now, I don’t have a problem dismissing this foolishness, but many people can’t see they’re being sold snake oil.

Facts, as John Adams said, are stubborn things. Here are a few you need to know: Atmospheric carbon-dioxide levels have risen 38% in the industrial era, from 280 to 385 parts per million (ppm). Scientists have warned that anything above 450 ppm — a warming of 2 degrees Celsius — will result in an unacceptable risk of catastrophic climate change.
The truth is that the threat we face is not an abstract concern for the future. It is already upon us and its effects are being felt worldwide, right now. Scientists project that the Arctic will be ice-free in the summer of 2013. Not in 2050, but four years from now.
Make no mistake: catastrophic climate change represents a threat to human security, global stability, and — yes — even to American national security.
It wouldn’t be so bad if they were merely offering the opinion that catastrophe is afoot. But they use the dreadfully inaccurate predictions and use them to impose taxes and then spend outrageous amounts of money to combat the so called climate change. These people then get some political power and use it to regulate the products people use and their behaviors. Again, it wouldn’t be so bad if these life changes were suggestions, but they aren’t and they admittedly have little to no significant effect on halting the supposed danger.
Why do we place so much stock in climate model projections when they are so often so wrong? If the claims being made continuously fail to pan out, isn’t it dangerous to our economy and liberty to continue to legislate and restrict based on these alarmist’s claims?
Sifting Reality 
The agenda behind this is just more loss of liberty and higher taxes to be spent on pork barrel projects as we go deeper and deeper into debt.
The human mind has an insatiable appetite for belief, belief in something higher than ourselves. The Earth is the liberals “high power,” a quasi Paganism. They’re disgusting people, so what do you expect? They kill babies and worship trees.
