(DailyMail) — Men who are physically strong are more likely to take a right wing political stance, while weaker men are inclined to support the welfare state, according to a new study.
Researchers discovered political motivations may have evolutionary links to physical strength.
Men’s upper-body strength predicts their political opinions on economic redistribution, according to the research.

‘In all three countries [the United States, Denmark and Argentina], physically strong males consistently pursue the self-interested position on redistribution.’
Men with low upper-body strength, on the other hand, were less likely to support their own self-interest.
Wealthy men of this group showed less resistance to redistribution, while poor men showed less support.
Professor Petersen said: ‘Our results demonstrate that physically weak males are more reluctant than physically strong males to assert their self-interest – just as if disputes over national policies were a matter of direct physical confrontation among small numbers of individuals, rather than abstract electoral dynamics among millions.’
However, the researchers found no link between upper-body strength and redistribution opinions among women.

Sifting Reality 
I get that this is supposed to be humorous but it winds up just being silly, imo.
I see many weaknesses within the conservative Republican party, and weaknesses of a different sort within the left-leaning Democratic party.
If having a heart is a weakness, though, then I am relieved to be classified with the weak; furthermore, Jesus has a special love for the humble, weak, sick, sad, hurt, trod upon, and the poor. The strong, bullies, hypocrites, pharisees, the powerful, and the rich are going to be up ye old creek without a paddle when it comes to that great big hallelujah party in the sky — when all is said and done and Jesus returns. The weakness described in the study is physical weakness. Not moral or political weakness.
i think it boils down to survival. the strong survive and are strong enough to assist the weak. the weak fade out in their wimpy nanny approach to life that ultimately ends in destroying their good intentions. a good parent needs to be strong and discipline the children. being weak and giving in ultimately leads to the children failing.
this is what obama and the dems do, giving freebees and catering to the lazy and penalizing success does not work. rewarding hard work builds strong prosperous people who are in a position to help the needy.
The political placation by the political is really obvious, but I dont understand how its missed by the masses
